SAVING LIVES THROUGH UNCOMPROMISED VEHICLE OPERATION

Carapace Armor is the worldwide leader of add-on ballistic and blast kits for drivers of Stryker and LAVs.

StrykShield™

The patented StrykShield™ enables a Stryker driver to have 270 degree real-time situational awareness with full ballistic/blast protection in a design that fully integrates vehicle through simple attachment points. A Stryker driver can operate buttoned-up, hatch fully-open or locked in 25 degree position with full protection with top side protection from the hatch.

The StrykShield kit increases a Stryker teams’ mobility and survivability while providing the SBCT a full spectrum of combat capabilities.  The StrykShield provides the SBCT with increased expeditionary capabilities and the ability to rapidly meet requirement needs for strategic deployability.

At a 25% degree position the driver is protected against roadside threads while minimizing cabin over blast with superior operational vision and SA. With hatch closed, the driver has full vision and operational capabilities through periscopes. The periscopes provide an integrated line of sight through the StrykShield transparent armor.

The StrykShield, when installed as an Expeditionary Kit on a Stryker, enables the soldiers to train and maintain a mission-ready team.  The StrykShield also enables the Stryker team to train and operate on-post with increased safety for local civilian communities.

StrykShield is backward and forward compatible from the original Stryker up through the latest release of the Stryker vehicle.  This capability enables the end user to only stock a single latest release of parts and components.

The US Army or a FMS global partner, who has a Stryker, can procure the StrykShield with its latest product releases and be assured that the product will be fully compliant from the initial release of Stryker up through the latest Stryker vehicles.
